In an endeavor to uphold French heritage and our ongoing articles showcasing the profound depth of savoir-faire emanating from France, we recently dedicated a moment to research some 18th century textiles that seem like they might have even come from our world today. Here are samples collected from the 1736 book "Echantillons des tissus de France," meticulously preserved scans graciously provided by the French online library, Gallica.
